Bio

Based in Vancouver on the ancestral and unceded lands of the xÊ·mÉ™θkwÉ™y̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and SÉ™lÌ“ílwÉ™taɬ (Tseil-Waututh) peoples, Jessica Hood is a performer, producer, and playwright. Jessica holds a BFA in theatre performance from SFU and has also completed the summer conservatory training at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York.

 

Selected performance credits include Her/Them (Pedro Chamale, Pull Fest VII); Acceleration (Sugarworks); The Girl Who Was Raised by Wolverine, the PTC New Fringe Play Prize Award winner by Deneh’Cho Thompson; Voices from Chernobyl, an original production that told the verbatim stories of the survivors through songs composed by Elliot Vaughan (The Troika Collective); and the title role in Olya the Child (The Troika Collective).
